From Yerevan to Voghjaberd

Voghjaberd is about 15 km east of Yerevan. Drive via the M4 highway and allow around 30 minutes from the city centre, depending on traffic.

    Order a cargo van through Yandex Delivery or GG Delivery, load your bikes and ride uphill from Yerevan toward Voghjaberd

    Cafés, shops and drinking water are available in Voghjaberd village

Where to start

The square by the Voghjaberd village administration is the most convenient starting point. Parking by Surb Astvatsatsin Church is limited. There is no dedicated trailhead infrastructure.

What to bring

The terrain is exposed, rocky and loose. Reliable water sources on the trails are limited, so fill up before the ride.

Protection

Helmet, gloves and eye protection. Knee pads are strongly recommended for technical lines.

Water & energy

Enough water for the full ride, electrolytes and a snack. Carry more in hot weather.

Repair kit

Spare tube or plugs, pump, tyre levers, multitool and a quick link for your chain.

Navigation

Charged phone, power bank and an offline Trailforks map or downloaded GPX.

Weather

Sunscreen, light layer and wind shell. Conditions can change quickly in the hills.

ID, a little cash and any medication you may need.
